Food Justice Workshop 12/10/21 7pm-8pm

Join Black Coffee and Hunger Intervention Program for a Food Justice Workshop. We will explore the intersection of hunger, the environment, and socio-economic and race inequities, through interactive activities and discussions. We will also be doing a food demo for a simple DIY snack- food and drinks will be provided! <br /><br /><br />Hunger Intervention Program is a local nonprofit based in North Seattle. Our programs bring vital meals to neighbors in need through our weekly Senior Community Lunch, daily dinner at the Oaks Shelter, and Summer Meals for Kids. Our Healthy HIP Packs program provides vital weekend food support to children at risk of hunger when they are out of school. We also hold nutrition education events and cooking classes for the community in order to empower through nutrition.
